Arrangements for the Pre-School day

Posted on May 30, 2020

Hopefully this is everything you need to know. We will update it if we have any extra information or anyone comes up with a good question. Apologies that it is long and proscriptive. It doesnt take many special measures for your child to have a great, Teatimers time when they finally get in. Its just the challenges of doing it safely at the moment. Last updated Tues 2nd June (Wednesday lunch arrangements) A whole host of changes have been made on the school site and at Teatimers. Some of these require you to play your part in order to allow...

Reopening out of School Club

Reopening out of School Club

Getting out of school club up and running again is vital to Teatimers long term survival and we have to get going as soon as possible. However, doing this responsibly under the current guidelines is proving challenging. At present there are several significant obstacles in our way: Government guidance. The guidance on how many ‘educational’ places children may go and mix is weak, verging on non-existent. There are subtle references saying its ok, and subtle references implying it isn’t. Bucks CC are also concerned that the...

Reopening Pre-School on 1st June

Reopening Pre-School on 1st June

Subject to Government approval and parental agreement to our plans, our Pre-School will reopen on 1st June.  As with all schools and settings, we start this process with the building we have.  It has to be adapted as best we can, and the number of children reduced to what we believe will give a safe result within the guidelines set by the government.   Having reviewed our options, we believe we have come up with a workable, safe plan that allows us to provide a slice of Teatimers for the...

Letter to parents regarding Pre-School reopening in June

Posted on May 14, 2020

Dear Parents We are looking closely at the challenges and issues around returning to Pre-School on 1st June. I don’t wish to see an empty Teatimers, as we want to survive into next year, to support the families who rely on us to enable them to work, support their children and to pay our staff. However, we have to be more concerned about putting people at risk and not contributing to the spread of Coronavirus. Government guidelines have been published for educational settings to help manage safely, and we will do our best to apply these at...

Reopening on 1st June?

Posted on May 13, 2020

We are looking at what sort of reopening will be possible on 1st June and will publish more information as we have it. I expect the next few weeks to be a jumble of rumour, panicky sounding news items and occasional nuggets of fact. Please sit tight, we will do the best we can for as many people within the restrictions we have to put in place to keep everyone safe. We will be starting to gather information from our current families this week, using some online questionnaires to gather the information we need to make our plans. Fingers...

Update 25th March

Posted on Mar 25, 2020

We did not get sufficient interest in pre-school care for key worker children and had no bookings for this week. With little prospect of enough numbers to make it stimulating enough for the children, we have closed pre-school offering down. We are still offering breakfast club and can continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

Support for keyworker families

Posted on Mar 19, 2020

A number of families have identified as key workers who need childcare. We have been in liaison with the schools and stand ready to provide the care. At present we have organised breakfast club for a number of children next week. We have had enquiries from families who are coming back into work in one of the key work categories. We are there for you too, even if you have not used Teatimers before. Our usual registration fees will be waived. We will continue to adapt as the situation changes to give you the cover you need in order to continue...
