External instructor costs

Playball have reviewed their costs and have increased their prices from half term.  To be fair, they haven’t increased their costs for ages so our families have been getting a great deal for a long time (you would pay 2-4 times as much anywhere else).

We don’t price these sessions to make much profit – simply to make sure the cost of the instructor is covered. After half term, the price of a playball session will need to increase to £3.75.

As the majority of children have council funding, we cannot require parents to pay for this extra and you are entitled to opt-out.  If you choose to do this, your child won’t go to the playball sessions and you won’t be charged.

If you wish to opt out of playball then please click here to notify us.

Miss Becky is having a baby

Becky will be going on Maternity leave at half term and we are looking forward to hearing her good news.

We are interviewing for a new member of staff to cover her.

Preschool bags

At the start of term we asked that NO rucksacks were brought in because there is not the space to hang them.  A few families are still sending these in and they are causing difficulties in the lobby.

Please remember that the only bags we can fit in are drawstring bags like the one you were given when your child started at Teatimers.  If you no longer have this you can purchase another from us for £2.00 or use any similar drawstring bag you already have at home.

Our new website

Our new website was a lockdown project that has finally come to fruition and we hope you find it useful.  Now that we can actually use it, we would welcome any suggestions or requests you might have.  So if there is something you wish you could find, please let us know.

Extra sessions in the summer term

It is time to start thinking about any session changes you might want for the summer term.  We have spaces available on Monday / Friday mornings and any afternoon.

Thankyou for all your support this term

2021 is turning out to be almost as strange as 2020.  We broke up in the hope of some form of family Christmas.  By the time term started again only the early years sector was still fully open.  We really appreciate all the support, feedback and kind words we have received from you all.

Staying open means a lot to us, and everyone’s attitude towards staying away and testing when ill has meant we haven’t yet had to face a closure.  We have had a number of lucky escapes and times when parents actions have kept Teatimers open for everyone.  Thankyou to everyone for doing the right thing and keeping us all going.
